Return of the Malc

All is not well for the feathery plastic pecker

We all know what a great success the recent tour to New Quay was for the section. However, for one man all did not go quite to plan, indeed he suffered a traumatic experience, the loss of his long time friend and soul mate, Malcolm the Plastic Parrot.

He is reported to say, "This is not the first time this has happened to me, aye, it happened many years ago when on another tour. I live in hope, as I did then, that Malcolm will return." With a tear in his eye he continued, "The problem is see, aye, me and Malcolm had a routine at break time. Of course I would put the kettle on and he would take it off again. But who will take it off again now he's all gone away? That Sukey is useless but that's another story."

The vanishing squawker did appear several times after his initial flight to freedom but, alas, eluded us all to the point we have had to return home without him.

This feathery tale is not over as people have reported sightings in strange and distant places. We are confident that we can bring happier news in time with photographic evidence of Malcolm and his flight of fancy.

News is already coming in, look below...

Mr X

Having returned from his holiday to North Wales Malcolm found that his business was hitting hard times as the recession set in. After many approaches to lending companies Malcolm accepted the inevitable and declared bankruptcy.

Following a few months of endless job seeking applications and unsuccessful interviews Malcolm managed to secure himself a low paid part time seasonal job as a stand in Fairy, see latest Travel Log entry below.

Now that February is upon us Malcolm is looking forward to tour season and renewing old friendships and who knows, maybe Mals luck will change……..

HOT NEWS - It's Sukey, she's OK - all a false alarm ... in fact It's GREAT NEWS. Sukey went to the Royal Aviary, Cardiff to have her little fledglings, so Malcolm is innocent of something that didn't happen! (other than a bit of hanky panky behind the perches). Wait, is Malc the father of these chirpy chappies?...

New photo of Malc has just arrived, it's not looking good. Looks like he's still got the 'hots' for Sukey and he hasn't taken to their parting too well. Smoking, drinking, eating rubbish ... if only we knew where he was?

We thought we should speak to Mal's owner who lost the bird on tour. We'll call him Mr Y to protect his identity (we would have called him Mr X but he bares an uncanny resemblence to the real Mr X). Mr Y, still very upset, has sent us these pics of Malc and a couple of mutual friends.

Just had this rare and old photo in - you could say the good old days when Malc and Suki were 'one'. Think Inspector Poirrat is appealing to Malc's sensitive side. Not sure Malc cares, after all Suki is an old bird!

From San Sebastian, to Stanstead then to the heart of London ... Pigeons beware! Boy does this bird fly, not a care in world, lets hope he's not deflated if Inspector Poirrat slaps eyes on him!

Ah, so it's San Sebastian he's at to watch the fall of the Ospreys ... mixing with the stars too, he's a lucky pecker. Last photo may also be a clue - still looking in vain for a feathery tweeter, again he's got the wrong end of the perch. All this and still no news on Sukey only that now Mal has been sighted in Spain Interpolly are involved!!

Just had this pic in - Malcolm looks as though he's on holiday. Is he aware of poor old Suki's situation, if so he needs to leave those cocktails alone and get back to the roost if only to clear his name.... Inspector Poirrat is hot on the case and Malc is now a prime suspect....

Oh no, some very bad news. Back in Gilfach Inspector Poirrat has been at the scene of a very mysterious crime. No real news yet only it involves Suki, ex-bird friend of Malcolm. Suki is thought to be receiving tweetment at the Royal Aviary, Cardiff. Is this why our feathery flinger has flown the nest? Malcolm where are you?

Well, can you believe it. Our perky pecker missed his flight, he was wetting his whistle a bit too long in the Duty Free and he missed last boarding call!! However this has not stopped him, still not sure where he's off?...

Malcolm heard about the Ospreys and fancied a bit of a romantic flutter but didn't realise they were a rugby team!
Plus he had a day with the International U18s where our own Ellis made a move on the slippery screecher.
